While driving in the feed truck one day I was struck by a eureka thought.

"In a brief paragraph describe your cartoon's humor and subject matter."

When it came to submitting 40 Days Fresh cartoons to magazines/papers/websites and the like, I could never quite describe what 40 Days Fresh was about.

As my long-time readers know, I work on many projects. When I think of a joke, I usually can pair that joke with a cartoon project. For example: a joke about the work place will almost always go to the black and white cartoons I submit to the New Yorker.

It was like I knew what 40 Days Fresh was about while being incapable of putting it to words.

BUT THEN: THE FEED TRUCK THOUGHT

40 Days Fresh is an observation of innovation. New apps, designs, tools, bells and whistles tend to fix problems with a bigger problem. We all know driving while on a cell phone is bad yet car designers put a huge blinking screen on the dash board with apps on it...ya know like a freakin' phone.

Not all of modernity is ironic; I'm not here to belittle cancer research and longer life expectancy (goes through his brain to try to remember if he's ever made a cartoon about cancer research and longer life expectancy) I'm here to poke fun at the reinvented wheels.

Man....I wish I thought of that sooner.

It probably sounds simple to you. Maybe you guys already knew that or have a differing opinion, but this is ground breaking for me, so...you know...BE HAPPY FOR ME.

ALSO! Click on the gallery below for what I'm working on!

check it out, why don't cha

I designed a poster for the play! I'm excited about that. There's a WIP for a 40 Days Fresh toon that's taking me a long time to finish and so much more!
